Well, I got approved for the apartment that me and Jason applied for. I will be moving out on Nov 26th. I cant wait. Its going to be so cool.

well i was offered a new position at work the other day and I took it.
they asked me if I would replace the swing shift stocker who works on overnights. there would of course be a pay raise since it is graveyard. I will be doing the same thing I am doing now, replenishing shelves for the pickers. 5pm to about 3am mondays thru thursdays, and maybe a few extra hours overtime on fridays. Im excited about it, because itll be something a little different for a while.

I start on wednesday the 2nd of Nov, right after we get back from vacation. ...mmm, vegas...

should be interesting. lol

Ok, here's a little bit.

Six months ago I finally quit Toys R Us and got myself a totally better and less stressful job as a forklift operator at Harbor Wholesale Grocery. The job is full time with benefits. Most of the week I get overtime which is really helping me save for when I move out.

Which reminds me, I am moving out here really soon, probably in a couple of weeks. I am going apartment shopping this weekend, and hopefully the waiting lists will not be too long. lol. My friend at work (with whom I was going to rent a house) has not given me answers on a certain house his uncle bought. We were going to rent that house from his uncle, but now his uncle apparently wants to resell the house, since he fixed the house and gave it major unpdates and upgrades. But I will be excited when I move out, because then I can do anything I want and buy anything I want, like travel on spontaneous trips and vacation to Vegas and concerts to see Jimmy Buffett or whatever.

Which reminds me, Astroartist and I are going to Vegas the weekend of Halloween to see a Jimmy Buffett concert. It will be extremely fun and eventful. Lets see besides the concert what all are we going to do there? See the dinner/jousting show at Excalibur, see a magic show sometime, go thru all the hotels and casinos and act like tourists, eat at Margaritaville once or twice, run around and act stupid, stay up most of the night for Halloween, watch the pirate show at Treasure Island, hang out with Elvis, go drinking with Barry Manilow and the Rat Pack tribute group, get tattoos, bang on drums and pipes and peoples' cars with the Blue Man Group, play golf at the famous courses in Vegas, expose all the secrets of the magic shows, take a helicopter tour over Vegas, hi-jack a tour bus and drive to Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon, win $500,000 from Vegas slot machines, lose $500,000 when we bet it all on black the next day, lose our return plane tickets in a poker game, and sell ourselves on the streets every night until we get enough money to fly back home.

Which reminds me, I'm gunna turn in for the night.

OK what's it gunna be? how to catch up...how to catch up? a long novella all at once, or a bunch of short stories over the course of several days? I think I will go with short stories. But unfortunately for those who are excited to see me write in this thing again, you will be disappointed today. I have stuff to do tonight. I will have to start my catch up parade in a couple of days. I know i keep saying that, but this time i mean it. Good lord so much to catch up on, I will need a couple of days in fact, to think about everything thats changed. lol

so yeah. one of the assistant managers at Toys r Us got canned the other day. In fact, he was arrested. I guess since last July he has been embezzling from the company. Return fraud (yes, "fraud" the big bad F-word)...he has been punching in other peoples numbers to ring up some false returns, taking the money from the return out of the till, then pocketing it later. They were suspicious a few days ago i guess, so they had cops come in, mark the bills one day, and the next time he worked, he had done it again. The cops found the marked bills in his wallet when they confronted him. He just came out again and confessed for them. yep, Over $15,000 since last July. They also realigned all the cameras so they could specifically catch him. And sure enough...BAM!!! I guess they arrested him on Friday night, which is the last time that i saw him there.
He was so young too. 21 years old with a wife and child and house. Apparently, the kid has some kind of mental illness. i don't know. but anyway. so yeah. its just too weird. you would expect to hear that kind of thing only on the news or in the paper or something, but never in the place you work, or anything. damn.

dad got home tonight at about 8:15. we are excited to see him again, he'll be leaving again on the 13th though.

he talked to Great Grandma Hock on the phone at about quarter to 9. He said her speech was hardly audible, just mumbling...that kinda thing. ten minutes after they hung up the phone, we got a call from Dads mom, Grand Hock had passed away. It's weird too, it's like she waited for him to come back into the country and talk once again to her.

mmm. i cant wait until the next local jimmy buffett concert. lol he hasnt added any pacific northwest venues to his tour yet. but he may do that later in the tour. the last couple of tours (last year and the year before), he was halfway done touring when i finally saw Portland OR and Vancouver WA added to each year respectively.

we're back from housesitting now. god, i miss that place. i wanna go baaaaack.

dad is coming back home for a week from iraq. hell be here on tuesday. it s a good thing, but its bad too because it will cost him $2400 to do it. the reason he's coming back is because my great grandmother might not live through the next few days. Grandma Hock is 95 years old. Even if she lives or not, he is coming over anyway because they need to visit. And so ive got to buy a black suit sometime this week, just in case. well i need some kind of a suit anyway.

i also need to go to the dentist this week to have my wisdom teeth pulled. one of them got cracked somehow a couple of years ago. shattered all the way down to the gum. thats what is causing all the pain. once in a while my right side of my jaws ache from it, but over the last few days it has been agony. just constant.

this next week i finally have decent hours, im working 6 days. but it will end up being normal hours for me if i have to go to a funeral or to the dentist. so that is gunna suck. so yeah. ill be busy next week. monday night is my only day off, its movie night for me and Astroartist anyway. we're probably gunna go see Home on the Range, lol. It looks hilarious.

well. dang. my post the other day when i was excited...it was about housesitting. and this is why i was excited, here is what she wrote to me:

"Hi Chad. Any chance you are interested in house-sitting from Sat Mar 2 to Sat Apr 3? I hope so!"

They were leaving for a month this time, instead of just a week. Three years of waiting and housesitting, and they are finally going on a real vacation!!
"It finally happened!" I thought, but I knew that BOTH of those dates weren't Saturdays. Then I figured, well they NEVER leave for more than a week at a time. So it doesnt seem right. it's suspicious. Then I was like, maybe they just mis-typed the dates and forgot the zero for the march date. but then i was like, oh wait! shit! there's another 2-something date on a saturday too!! damn!! and sure enough...

I am only housesitting for a week once again from march 27th to april 3 lol oh well, I should be thankful I am housesitting again at least. dang.

well, my dad just landed in Mosul a little while ago, he went and saw his office and the people he's going to be working with. he said it's extrememly quiet there all day so far. And it will most likely be september or october before he comes back like we thought.

well dad is leaving via capitol limo tomorrow morning at 4. which is seven hours from now. we dont know when hell be back, probably around september or october. i dont know what else to say.

oh yeah, i finally got tired of my hair so i went to have it cut. it feels so much better.
